During this time, I was covering for the existing Manager for the Data Warehouse at Vancouver Coastal Health. I was responsible for being the product owner/subject matter expert for the Developer team, organizing & assigning the work according to the Agile methodology that was in place.
While in the position, I successfully installed and migrated the department onto their own Jira system (previously it was managed by an external team), and led the project to upgrade the SQL Server systems to SQL Server 2016. This including various SQL Server versions (notably versions of SQL Server 2000, 2008R2 and 2012).
As the department needed to move towards Automated Testing, I evaluated various solutions, eventually demonstrating a custom in-house solution would suit the department. I created the proof of concept, showing that we could save hours of testing effort, this led to the hire of a student to take my proof of concept, and with my guidance, create a web based front-end that people could use to create and run automated tests.
