Working with the Decision Support department at Interior Health, I developed a simple database framework for Key Performance Indicators. Using a product called SAP xCelcius (and later SAP Dashboards), I developed a front-end for this database, to allow the data to be displayed on a dashboard.
What was novel about this at the time was this was all on a computer screen, before it was sheets of Legal sized paper in very small type that was printed out. Using the dashboard, people were able to explore the data. To increase the usage of the dashboard, I spent considerable time cleaning up the data and to try my best to map the data as well, so it was possible for the data to be explored not just in a traditional table view, drilling down to a department, but my plotting the data on a map.
This work was ultimately rewarded with a GTEC award.
